ONE WEEK AGO: Joe Fraser Announces Bid for U.S. Senate on KSTP

MINNEAPOLIS – It was one week ago today that Joe Fraser, a father, retired Naval intelligence officer, husband, father, and business executive announced his bid for the U.S. Senate in Minnesota.

With that announcement, Fraser sat down with KSTP’s Eric Chaloux to discuss why now was the time to unseat failed presidential candidate Amy Klobuchar.

“Service has always been something important to me,” Fraser told Chaloux of the desire to give Minnesotans a real alternative in the race to be Minnesota’s next U.S. Senator.

“To start with balancing the budget,” Fraser said, “is the biggest difference between myself and Ms. Klobuchar.”

He’s not wrong. In 2006, when Klobuchar won her first election, the national debt had hit $10 trillion. Now, the debt has surpassed $34 trillion and is continuing to rise quickly.

Fraser also talked about investing in our state’s economy – particularly as it relates to mining up north. “We should be making the investments in Minnesota. to protect our supply chain and create jobs.”

The 26-year veteran of the United States Navy is a political newcomer, having never run for office before. To learn more about Fraser’s fight for Minnesota, check out his website at www.joeforsenate.com.
